Snowwatcher Members
Terms and Acceptable Use
These terms cover the Snowwatcher Members service: your account, GPS ski days, and photographs stored privately for you. They sit alongside the Privacy Policy. The public map at snowwatcher.com has its own terms where published there.
This page is practical product wording. It is not legal advice and does not claim that Snowwatcher is fully compliant with every UK or EU duty. A UK solicitor or data-protection professional should review these terms before you rely on them in a dispute.
1. The service
Members is private personal storage for ski days and photographs. Photograph uploads are included with the Snowwatcher iOS app from the App Store. It is not a social network. Photographs are not public, cannot be browsed by other members, and do not appear on the public map.
2. Your account
You must keep your password and iOS access token secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate an account where these terms are broken, or where we reasonably need to protect the service or other people.
3. Photographs — acceptable use
You may only upload photographs you have the right to store. You agree that you will not upload, store, or use Snowwatcher to:
- Upload illegal material.
- Upload child sexual abuse material.
- Upload terrorist or extremist material where that is unlawful.
- Upload non-consensual intimate images.
- Upload material relating to criminal activity where that is unlawful.
- Upload material that infringes copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
- Upload content that violates another person’s legal rights.
- Use Snowwatcher to distribute unlawful material.
Snowwatcher does not actively monitor every private photograph. We do not operate automated scanning that claims to detect criminality in images. We may still suspend or terminate accounts where necessary, and we may cooperate with law enforcement or other competent authorities where the law requires it.
4. Reporting a concern
If you have a legitimate reason to report an account or a photograph (for example suspected illegal content), use Support in Members and choose Report illegal or abusive content, or email hello@snowwatcher.com. Do not send copies of illegal images in email. Tell us the account, date, and why you are reporting it.
5. Deletion
You can delete individual photographs in My Ski Memories. You can delete your whole account in Settings (this removes tracks, photographs, tokens, and the profile). See the Privacy Policy for retention.
